Language & Literacy
Babies respond to familiar voices, take turns cooing and babbling, and begin to track objects and faces with their eyes — the very first steps toward language.
Caregivers talk, sing, and read to infants throughout the day — narrating moments, responding to sounds, and building a love of language from the very start.
Social & Emotional
Babies express emotions through faces, sounds, and gestures, respond differently to familiar and unfamiliar people, and engage in early back-and-forth with trusted caregivers.

Mathematics
Babies track objects as they appear and disappear, hold one thing in each hand, and begin to notice when something new is added to their space.
Play with objects of different sizes, shapes, and textures builds the earliest foundations of number sense and spatial awareness.
Cognitive Development
Babies anticipate familiar routines, begin to understand that objects still exist when out of sight, and repeat actions on purpose to make things happen.
Caregivers narrate, play peek-a-boo, and respond to each baby's cues — building the back-and-forth interactions that wire the brain for learning.
Physical Development
Babies lift their heads, reach for toys, begin to roll, and use their hands and mouth to explore everything they can get hold of.
Tummy time, floor play, and safe spaces to move give infants the freedom to build strength and discover what their bodies can do.
Science
Babies explore the world through their senses — mouthing, listening, looking, and repeating simple actions to see what happens next.
Safe, stimulating materials give infants the chance to touch, shake, drop, and discover — following their natural curiosity at every stage.
Creative Development
Babies show preferences for things they like, smile and bounce in response to music, and begin imitating the facial expressions of the people they love.
Music, movement, and sensory play are part of every day — giving infants rich, joyful experiences that light the earliest sparks of imagination.
Social Studies
Babies show awareness of the people around them, recognize familiar faces and voices, and reach out to trusted adults when they need comfort.

A Week in Newborn Care
New sounds, textures, and art experiences give a snapshot of each baby's growth. Each day of the week has a catchy theme, which gives every classroom a fun, predictable rhythm.

All included in your tuition, so there's less to pack and less to plan.
Diapers and Wipes
No need to pack a diaper bag! We provide all the diapering essentials, using high-quality, gentle products that keep your little one comfortable and dry.
In-house Laundry
We make naptime easier by providing and laundering all crib bedding and sleep sacks.
Extra Teachers
We go beyond state requirements with two extra teachers in every infant room, so each baby gets more one-on-one time.
Healthy Meals Your Child Will Love
When your baby is ready for solids, our in-house BFA Cafe makes seasonal baby food from scratch, with wholesome ingredients you can trust.
How young can my baby start at BFA?
Babies can join our Newborn Care program as early as 6 weeks old. When your baby is ready, they move up to our Infant Care classroom, where they keep building on the routines and relationships they already know.
What do I need to pack for my baby?
Less than you might think. Diapers, wipes, crib bedding, and sleep sacks are all included in tuition, and we launder the bedding for you. Your center director will walk you through anything else your baby needs before their first day.
Will my baby have to follow a set schedule?
No. In Newborn Care, every baby eats, sleeps, and plays on their own schedule. Caregivers learn each baby's cues and respond with warmth and consistency, which helps your baby feel safe and build trust.
How do caregivers support my baby's development?
Caregivers talk, sing, and read to babies throughout the day, and give them plenty of tummy time and floor play. Everything we do is guided by Ohio's Early Learning & Development Standards and our Full Circle Curriculum, so even the smallest moments help your baby grow.
The ages of children in our classrooms may vary by local and state regulations as well as the unique needs of each student.
