Language & Literacy
Children understand simple requests, communicate with single words and gestures, and show growing interest in books — pointing to pictures and helping turn pages.
Caregivers read aloud, sing, and narrate daily moments to build vocabulary and a love of language right from the start.
Social & Emotional
Children begin to understand themselves as separate from others, seek closeness with familiar adults, and show growing interest in other children.

Mathematics

Children remember people and objects over time, use items for their intended purpose in play, and imitate actions they’ve observed — like pretending to read or feed a doll.
Caregivers narrate, model, and play alongside children — giving them rich experiences to remember, revisit, and build on.
Physical Development
Children sit independently, crawl, pull to stand, and take first steps — while also developing hand skills like grasping, transferring objects, and self-feeding finger foods.
Safe spaces to move, climb, and explore give children the freedom to practice every new physical milestone at their own pace.
Science
Children intentionally explore objects and repeat actions to cause reactions — pushing a car down a ramp, flipping a light switch, shaking a toy to hear its sound.
We follow each child’s curiosity with materials that invite cause-and-effect exploration — water, ramps, sensory bins, and objects to bang, drop, and discover.
Creative Development
Children explore art materials, make sounds with objects, and imitate others in simple pretend play — early steps toward imagination and self-expression.
Sensory play, music, and open-ended materials give children space to explore, create, and discover what they can do.
Social Studies
Children show preference for familiar adults, begin to express needs through gestures and words, and respond to simple guidance from trusted caregivers.

A Week in Infant Care
New sounds, textures, and art experiences give a snapshot of each baby's growth. Each day of the week has a catchy theme, which gives every classroom a fun, predictable rhythm.

Healthy Meals Your Child Will Love
Our in-house BFA Cafe prepares three fresh meals and snacks each day, plus seasonal baby food made from scratch, all with wholesome ingredients you can trust.
Diapers and Wipes
No need to pack a diaper bag! We provide all the diapering essentials, using high-quality, gentle products that keep your little one comfortable and dry.
In-house Laundry
We make naptime easier by providing and laundering all crib bedding and sleep sacks.
Extra Teachers
We go beyond state requirements with two extra teachers in every infant room, so each baby gets more one-on-one time.
What age is the Infant Care classroom for?
Infant Care is for babies 10 to 18 months old. Younger babies start in our Newborn Care program, and when they're ready, children move up to Toddler Care.
What does a typical week look like in Infant Care?
Each day has its own Daily Brain Builders theme: Motor Monday, Texture Tuesday, Wordy Wednesday, Thumbs Up Thursday, and Fun Friday. Around those themes, babies have plenty of time for books, music, sensory play, and safe spaces to crawl, climb, and explore.
How do you help babies settle in?

Can you handle food allergies?
Yes. Our BFA Cafe serves healthy meals your child will love, and the menu is free from peanuts and tree nuts, along with GMOs, artificial dyes, and high fructose corn syrup. We cater to individual dietary needs, so every child enjoys safe, nutritious meals. Take a look at our menu.
