  • “We transferred our toddler to BFA around 2 months ago, and it was the best decision we could make for him. We were coming in a little untrusting due to our previous experience at another daycare, but everyone at BFA has made our transition so wonderful. Our son would never walk into his classroom each morning without putting up a fight when we would try to leave, but here he walks right in and starts playing with his classmates. The ratio is amazing! His teachers have been extremely kind, helpful and you can tell they actually enjoy being there. I can go on and on about the great menu choices and the amount of fun activities the daycare puts on. From yoga classes to music time, they put thought into each day for the kids. One of my favorite parts is when they hold fun weekend events for families to attend. My son loves them and it's something we can all enjoy as a family, while also meeting some of the other families who go to BFA. Meet the Owners of BFA New Albany

We are Mark and Kaylah Thompson, owners of Balanced Family Academy of New Albany. We have known the founders of Balanced Family Academy for over 20 years. For the last 10 years we have had a front-row seat to watch BFA’s growth, first as supportive friends, and then as loving parents to Emmitt (3 years) and James (5 months), both of whom have attended BFA since infancy. When we enrolled our first child at Balanced Family Academy at the height of the COVID pandemic, we quickly learned how important it was to know our child was receiving loving care in a safe, nurturing environment so that we could show up to work as our best selves and allow our family to thrive. We are passionate about providing other families with the same sense of comfort, community, and exceptional child care that we have experienced at BFA, and providing teachers with the tools and support they need to positively impact your child’s growth and development every single day. We can’t wait to meet your families, and we look forward to serving this community!
