  • No. Our franchise owners come from a variety of professional backgrounds, but they all share a commitment to our mission: every child, every parent, every teacher, every day.

    Successful owners are strong leaders who are passionate about creating safe learning environments for children, a positive culture for their team, and an exceptional experience for families.

    While prior childcare experience is not required, owners should have strong leadership, time-management, and business skills. If you do not have a background in childcare, you will be required to hire a director with extensive childcare experience. Together, your leadership and your director’s operational expertise create a strong foundation for long-term success.

  • Yes. During the first two years, owners are required to be present at the school for approximately 20 hours per week, as outlined in the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

    Once your director has been in place for at least one year, there is typically more flexibility in your onsite involvement. Many Balanced Family Academy franchise owners operate more than one location, so their time is often divided across schools.
