Guest Blog: My Daughter Shares Fairy Garden Tips!

Hi! As you can see, I'm Mr.Jared’s daughter and I’m here to talk about fairy gardening! So first things first:
Our Fairy Garden
We have a fairy garden at our house and me and my little sister really enjoy it! We have a nice little place in our yard dedicated to it, and we have a lot of space for our fairies to flit and flutter because we have lots of land, including woods and a prairie! The fairies love exploring! Now we DO have lots of store-bought fairy houses, but sometimes we make our own out of nature supplies! And...that takes us to our next category!
Fairy Houses
Now we're going to talk about natural AND “un-natural” fairy houses. For natural houses, it's pretty easy:
Step 1-Find a good place for the fairy house
Step 2-Collect! Twigs, bark, leaves, etc.
Step 3-Build! if you're using twigs, stab ends into the ground (dirt or mud works best for stick stabbing) and bark works best for roofs (as do leaves.)
And that's it for natural! Oh, and remember to either wait for a fairy to visit, or add a toy fairy of your own!
Now, for “un-natural” houses, it's a bit harder. I have a unlucky experience with that and I'll tell you about it now! Presenting:
THE FAIRY HOTEL STORY.
So, one day, me, dad, and my sister made mini fairy gardens together. I made a fairy hotel, and my sister made a fairy house. (Oh and dad just helped us. He didn't make anything.) So, anyway, we left a note for the fairies and the next morning we find that the fairies visited! Anyway, a little while later, we are weeding out our fairy garden and...my fairy hotel was left outside! Now, unfortunately I made the fairy hotel out of un-natural stuff. If you make a fairy house or hotel out of un-natural stuff... it falls apart if left outside. And that’s what happened to mine: It fell apart! Lesson is: Don't leave un-natural fairy houses outside. You can make your un-natural fairy things however you'd like, but here are some helpful tips:
Tip 1- Putting your un-natural fairy house in a pot works best for indoors.
Tip 2- If you want to make wooden furniture, popsicle sticks work well.
Tip 3- For your house to be more appealing to fairies, add plants, moss, acorn caps etc.
Tip 4- For plants, succulents work great! You do need to check on the succulents ,but only once a week. If they look withered or thin, water!

So if you’re ready to get going, you'll want to find a place to put your fairy garden. Then you will need dirt, plants, and fairies. Remember: It doesn't have to be just a fairy garden, you can add more magical creatures. In our fairy garden, we added a gnome village, a magic meadow, and even a dragon mountain! The best thing about fairy gardens is all the imagination!
