In our full-day Kindergarten, we believe in a literature-based approach which allows children to embrace learning with excitement and amazement. Our curriculum design focuses on skills to help students become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, flexible and creative problem solvers, and open-minded communicators. Our state-certified teachers enrich the learning experience of our students with weekly lessons in music, S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, and math), theater, art, and dance.
A literature-based approach means that we place a large emphasis on phonics instruction, writing exploration, and story time. In addition to daily literature exercises, we also complete a CTOPP evaluation at the beginning on the school year, as well as Dibbles assessments three times yearly.

Academic Year and School Hours
Our academic school year will commence with our Open House on Sunday, July 30th and will end May 25, 2018. We will continue learning through the months of June, July, Spring Break, and Teacher in-service days, but our time together will be more relaxed and full of adventure with special guests, field trips, and activities.
