Wholesome, from-scratch meals for growing kids and busy families.

Creating healthy habits right from the start with Whisk Prep Kitchen.

A wholesome and nutritious diet is an essential component of a child's growth and development.  When young children get the high-quality energy, vitamins, and nutrients they need from real, unprocessed foods, they are better equipped to get off to a healthy start and to maintain good eating habits in the future.

We provide three meals a day: a morning snack at 8:30 am, lunch at 11:30 am, and an afternoon snack at 3:30 pm.  Each meal meets the State of Ohio's guidelines for meals and snacks for child care centers, but we also go above and beyond to serve food that is wholesome, balanced, freshly prepared, and FUN!  Our menus focus on seasonal ingredients so we can buy from local farmers whenever possible.  For the foods that matter most, we source organically-grown produce.  We serve milk that is produced without the use of rBST or rBGH, and meats are hormone and antibiotic free.

If your child has any food restrictions due to allergies or religious beliefs, we will work closely with you to make sure his/her specific needs are met. You may supply meals and snacks if you feel it is necessary; however, we ask that you communicate with the directors to make appropriate arrangements to do so.

Take-home adult meals

We all know that good nutrition plays a crucial role in our health and wellbeing, but when life gets hectic, that drive-thru can seem like the only option. Our goal is to help you get meals "off your plate" and onto your table.

Whisk Prep Kitchen freshly prepares all of the meals and snacks for Balanced Family Academy children (no cans of spaghettiOs here!). For the rest of the family, we prepare take-away options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We believe in real food. That means food that is wholesome, balanced, and freshly prepared. Menus focus on seasonal ingredients so we can use local producers whenever possible, and for the foods that matter most (like the “dirty dozen”) we go organic. And, none of this really matters if the food isn’t delicious: we’re committed to that too.
